Graduate Management Admission Test or GMAT makes it possible for the students to enter into top B-schools across India and abroad and this test is conducted by GMAT. Depending on your score in this test it possible to get admission in around 2,000 B-schools across 82 countries in your choice of discipline. Quantitative, Verbal, Analytical Writing and Integrated Reasoning are four main sections one can see in this exam.

Who Can Apply:

Students with Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from accredited institute or university can apply. And of course, the minimum age should be 18. If not and the candidate age lies between 13 to 17 years then they should submit either their parent's or guardian's permission while registering for GMAT.Apart from there are no particular objections regarding the eligibility of the candidate. Candidate can choose either normal GMAT test or Mini GMAT test which is recently introduced and designed to test candidates analytical and logical thinking for those who want to pursue E-MBA.

Registration Process:

To attempt this test follow the below guidelines.

  1. First create an account on GRE official website.The further registration process for the exam can be carried out through Online, Phone, and Mail depending on your convenience.
  2. It is a computer-adaptive test, which means depending on candidates answers it adapts and tests them beyond limit maintaining their comfort one. Paper-based testing is not available in GMAT.
  3. Set the “test date and test location” to attend the exam.
  4. The exam fee can be paid through online and cards like American Express, JCB, MasterCard or VISA are accepted at payment portal. Offline payment methods to pay the fee are Cashier’s cheque, Money Order, Personal cheque etc.,
Test Details:
  1. A student can attempt the computer-based test for 5 times around the year. And can have a choice regarding their own test center depending on its availability.
  2. Admit Card for the exam will be directly mailed to student mail id.
  3. Time varies for computer-based and paper-based exams.
  4. The results of the computer-adaptive exam are emailed to you within 20 days of the test. You can use this score up to 5 years or take a retest after 16 days if you are not satisfied with the results.
Syllabus and Pattern:

Verbal Reasoning - In 75 minutes a student should solve 41 questions on Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning and Sentence Formation.

Quantitative Reasoning - In 75 minutes a student should solve 37 questions on Data Sufficiency, Mathematics and Quantitative Aptitude.

Analytical writing assessment - In 30 minutes a student should present his/her arguments on 1 topic.This test put forth the student ability to analyze the argument and factual information.

Integrated Reasoning:In 30 minutes a student should solve 12 questions on Multi-Source Reasoning, Graphics Interpretation, Two-Part Analysis, and Table Analysis.
